In this English Speaking Partners programme, Maurizio talks to Jamal. Maurizio, from Biella in northern Italy, is studying petroleum engineering while Jamal, a postgraduate in cultural heritage studies, is from Hyderabad, Pakistan. They are both students at the Politecnico di Torino. Today's topic is music and, as you will hear, Jamal and Maurizio have very different tastes! They will be playing tracks of their choice from Italy and Pakistan, and telling us about various aspects of traditional and modern music, artists and instruments, what music means to them personally, and why opera as well as rock has something to say to students of their age.
